IRA Newsletter by Steve Sinclair: "Well another season has passed, and an interesting one it was indeed. Competition was at an all-time high, and car support from the membership unsurpassed as 27 teams met point fund eligibility requirements. That number is truly remarkable and unsurpassed within the sprint car industry, yet we accomplished this in a year where the economy struggled and our schedule was a bit challenging to say the least." Paul Pittman of the IRA Sprints reflects back on the 2003 season. "The 2003 Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series season will go down in the history books, if nothing else, as one of the most interesting seasons on record. I say that because of several things. The level of competition was at an all time high which kept fans standing in the seats. Several races came right down to the final couple hundred feet, and the intensity wasn't limited to the front. More often than not, fans were left breathless by the action behind the leaders." 2003 IRA Review - IRA Sprints.com (12-05-03)
