The Red White and Blue Series is not dead yet. We are running three 50 lap races with three different lineups. Because of the losing both the Red and White races we have decided to a third 50 lapper to add a little spice for the fans and drivers. It will still be a 4 tire night and we plan on drawing from envelopes that will determine three different starting positions. Each 50 will have it's own pay schedule and points. The higher point driver will be the 2005 Red White and Blue Champion. There will also be a Five Star Body Package going home with a driver that enters this event. Hoosier Tires and Genal's is also sponsoring 14 tires to be given away to participants that night. Hope you can make it, should be a good one. David Valentyne, WIR Events Director. (08-6-05)
A good ol’ boy from the South showed a trio of Wisconsin drivers the fast way around Wisconsin International Raceway, just as NASCAR star Mark Martin did when he raced at the track for the first time back in the 1970s. In his WIR racing debut, Stephen Leicht, an 18-year-old from Asheville, N.C., won the American Stockcar League 150 Tuesday night before a crowd of 2,700 as what’s left of the defunct American Speed Association series made its debut at the track. 18-year-old Steven Leicht is one of the hottest rising stars of racing and he proved it once more as he dominated the ASL 150 at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. Earlier in the evening, Leicht set fast time and with the series inversion, started fourth in the 20 car field. Pole sitter Bryan Reffner led the charge as Andrew Morrissey tried to take the lead in the opening laps. Press Release (08-3-05)
Some quick updates from the ASL race being held at Wisconsin International Raceway tonight. Terry Baldry had trouble with the primary car during practice, the backup car was brought to the track and understand they had problems with that car also. They got the backup car fired and on the track just as the green came out, he went on to finish in the top 5 in the Late Model race which was won by Jeff Van Oudenhoven. Apparently the races are running behind as around 8:45 they had just finish the Late Model race and had the Midam race and ASL race to run yet. We understand their was 20 cars that showed up for the ASL series race. Stephen Leight won the race by a large margin over Bryan Reffner. (08-2-05)

It has been so long since Bryan Reffner has raced at Wisconsin International Raceway in Buchanan, even he doesn’t remember when it was. “We were trying to figure that out, but we gave up. It was too much work,” said Reffner, a former NASCAR Craftsman Truck racer and American Speed Association point champion. “But I do remember winning the Dixieland there.” For the record, the race in question was the then-ARTGO Dixieland 250 held at the track in 1995, when Reffner edged Steve Carlson.
