Historically, the Interstate Racing Association Outlaw Sprint Series is among one of the oldest sanctioning bodies in the country.  FACT!  A little known fact however, (possibly) is its member's ability to have a good time when the situation dictates and on Saturday night at the 2005 Awards Banquet, it dictated! Appears Wisconsin dirt Late Model driver Luke Roffers will hang up the helmet for the time being and pack his bags. We understand Luke has accepted and offer to work for Chip Ganassis Racing with Felix Sabates in North Carolina. (11-11-05)

Asphalt Racing

UNCONFIRMED: Tim Rothe to drive for his own Late Model team in 2006? We had heard this a couple months back and it was denied by Kemkes Racing team members. We are hearing once again that this will happen, as Jim Kemkes will help his son move up. (11-1-05)

 

Touring Racing

It was announced on TNT's Phoenix race broadcast that Stephen Leicht has just signed a three-year development deal with Robert Yates Racing. Next season he is expected to split the No. 90 ride with another driver. This season the seat has been shared between Leicht (Phoenix was his second series start), Elliott Sadler and Dale Jarrett. Keith Coleman Racing announced that Chris Wimmer will be the driver of their #23 Chevrolet for the remainder of the 2005 Busch Series season and the entire 2006 schedule.
