!!!!! Notice to all Engine Builders !!!!!
3-26-05
A meeting between Tech Officials of the Upper Midwest Race Tracks and Sanctioning Bodies have instituted new guidelines for the ACE Concept Engine.
- 3/8 Rod bolts and Rods are now allowed for use! Costs for the 3/8 Rod have dropped consistently over the last few years and are no longer consider a cost issue.
- During the last year, various Tech Officials have noticed that Engine builders have been changing the stock firing order on ACE Engines without consulting track or series officials. After lengthy discussions about this topic it was agreed upon that such practices will, be allowed under the following conditions. A stock style Crank Shaft must be used and anything other then Camshaft replacement or Spark Plug wiring will not be allowed.
- The group firmly agrees that any changes that are made by any Engine Builder or Race Team to change, modify, or defeat any ACE Engine rules will not be tolerated.
- The ACE Engine program was created to build a competitive, inexpensive, and long lasting Engine.
- No Coating of Blocks or Heads of the ACE Engine will be allowed.
- Any Race Team or Engine Builder trying to get around any of these rules will be listed on the website www.autoracingtracks.com And subject to fines as stated in ACE rules.
- Any changes to be made to any ACE rules will be handled by the Alliance Group only!
