Dennis Rabas of Maribel got his second win in a row in the Mid-American feature race Saturday night at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek. But it was Bob Schultz of Reedsville who took the season championship.

Rabas went flag to flag for the win with Rookie of the Year Jesse Fuller of Manitowoc getting second, his best finish of the year. Daryl Gerke of Whitelaw finished third on the night and second in the points with Schultz and Gregg Herrmann rounding out the top five.

This was the first championship ever for Schultz who also won his first feature at 141 Speedway as well.

In the Super Stocks the season championship was a forgone conclusion since Don Wood of Maribel had sewn up the both Rookie of the Year and track champ almost two weeks ago. However, the rest of the field still wanted to make their mark on the season.

Tim Conard led the first few laps with Greg Thompson and Jimmy Wilson battling for second. This lasted only three laps because Josh Sand lost the handle on his ride on the backstretch bringing out the caution and tightening the field. On the restart Crystal Koenig collided with Conard's car causing Koenig to lose a wheel and bring out yet another caution.

On the next restart Paul Rabas took over the top spot and held on until lap ten when Andy Cassavant used a strong move to assume the lead and hung on for the win. Errol Berry took second with Jimbo Schlies, Jason Meulemans and Jo Mueller completing the top five.

A close points battle in the Mini-stock division went down to the very last lap of the last race of the year. Jay Sand went into the evening with a slim lead over Randy Nething and David Gauger who were second and third repectively.

John Senkbeil took the early lead and paced the field for the first five laps until Jason Novak got by him and held on for the remainder of the contest for the win. Senkbeil hung on for second and it looked like Gauger would finish third in the race and the points. However, on the last lap of the race Nething and Sand collided in turn two slowing their cars and allowing enough competitors to get by to drop them to second and third respectively and handing the championship to Gauger.

It was his first championship at 141.

A hard fought Hobby feature saw Travis Rodewald of Manitowoc take the top on the night but second on the season to repeat champ Jason Rabas of Maribel. Rabas did finish second on the night with Max Schultz, Andy Cassavant and Pete Kumbalek rounding out the top five.

Jesse Behnke of Brillion was the Rookie of the Year in the division.

The Sport 4 class saw Todd Hebel take the victory on the evening but Kraig Koehler took the both the season Championship and Rookie honors.
