141 Speedway in Francis Creek, WI. held it's Fourth annual Creepy Classic 300 lap enduro race on Saturday with over ninety cars taking the green flag.

Kurt Naidl of Denmark held the early lead over Mike Graziano and Dave Beyer who battled in seesaw fashion for the first fifty laps.

By lap nnety Naidl and Graziano were battling for the top spot just ten feet apart and continued that way until lap one hundred when the first scheduled caution flag came out to allow a pit stop for gas and tires.

On the restart, Graziano got a good jump and assumed the lead. Dave Beyer moved to second as Naidl got caught up in slow traffic and dropped to third. These two swapped the lead twice between laps one hundred ten and one hundred twenty with Graziano finally breaking away.

Meantime, Jason Meulemans who had started dead last had moved to ninth place and was working the outsied line effectively consistantly bettering his position as the race progressed.

On lap 121, Graziano made conatct with another car while exiting turn two spinning into the infield. But he still managed to maintain a two second lead over Naidl.

The race went off without many interuptions aside from two rollovers. The first took place on lap 131 Todd McAbee lost the handle on his ride and slid "rubber side up" down the backstretch while on fire. The safety crew quickly extracted the driver and extiguished the flames. McAbee walked away without injury.

The second rollover occured on lap 146 when Matt Mann struck the turn two tire wall and landed upside down against the wall. Mann climbed out on his own, again without injury.

After the lap 200 manditory yellow, the field restarted with Graziano in front and Beyer never answering the call to return.

From that point on, Graziano was never challenged and cruised to his second victory in the series.

Last years series champion Todd Welsing finished second with Donnie Murray, Jason Meulemans and Ken Krish rounding out the top five.

Jim Brooks of Fredonia finished in the eigth spot in this race but was crowned the overall season champ.

This was the final race of the 2004 season at 141. The next race will be New Day with another 300 lap compact car enduro race with a start time of 1pm.
