EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME EDITION, 141 SPEEDWAY TEAM UP ON FRIDAY THE 13TH
(Francis Creek, WI) Aug 9 – ABC’s popular “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” television show is teaming up with 141 Speedway drivers Tim Czarnecki of Denmark and Chad Kaminski of Luxemburg for their special event on Friday, August 13th at Wisconsin’s newest third-mile, clay oval presented by Pro Label.
More than two dozen employees with the show, along with nearly 200 volunteers associated with the home rebuilding project will be in attendance at the special event, which will be highlighted by fan and driver appreciation night with free beer and a corn roast following the races. The team from California has been in the area for two weeks, prepping for this latest show.
The Makeover team is in the area to build a home in 105 hours at a location which isn’t too far away from the race track. The exact location will be announced on Saturday, August 14. “We’re still looking for volunteers for this project, but it’s going to be huge,” said Rob Larsen from Northern Concrete, one of the businesses donating time for this project. “We’ll begin pouring the foundation at 2 a.m. on Sunday August 15. We can’t say exactly where it’s being built only that it’s in northeast Wisconsin.”
Czarnecki will sport the sponsors Lexington Homes and Northern Concrete on his IMCA modified, and Kaminski will do the same on his IMCA hobby stock. “We were going to race down in Iowa but we’ve decided to support 141 because it’s close to home,” said Czarnecki, known as “CZ” in the racing circles. “We’re donating the ad space on our cars because they’ve stepped to the plate for this project, and it’s great. We love what the Conard’s have done in terms of improvements to the facilities. They work on that place seven days a week. The track is now smooth and car counts keep coming up each week.”
Nearby Luxemburg Speedway is off on August 13th and many drivers who have yet to give the new clay at 141 Speedway a try are expected to compete on August 13th.
IMCA modifieds, stock cars, northern sportmods, hobby stocks and sport fours will compete beginning at 7 p.m.
