RATAJCZAK SWEEPS 141 IMCA MOD ACTION

WHITMAN, MOEDE AND HUNGERFORD ALSO SWEEP THEIR RESPECTIVE CLASSES

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug. 13 – Frog Station’s Dan Ratajczak fought off a fast closing Shawn Kilgore of New Franken to capture the 20 lap IMCA modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

The “Frog Station Flash” also won his heat, scoring a clean sweep for the evening.

Ratajczak wasn’t the only driver to earn a clean sweep for the night, as De Pere’s Johnny Whitman, Algoma’s Marcus Moede and Little Chute’s Cody Hungerford accomplished the same feat in the IMCA northern sportmod, hobby stock and sport four classes, respectively.

Trailing Ratajczak at the checkers were Kilgore, Two Rivers Kyle Kudick, Green Bay’s Jared Siefert and Eric Van Iten of Green Bay.

De Pere’s Johnny “Hitman” Whitman captured his 10th IMCA northern sportmod feature win of the season on area ovals.  Whitman sifted through lapped traffic in the final four laps to earn the win.   Trailing at the checkers were Green Bay’s Josh Long, Oconto’s Travis Cain, Oconto’s Rob Charapada and New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach rounded out the top five finishers.

Greenleaf’s Jesse Colwell cruised to victory in the 20 lap IMCA stock car feature.   Colwell was pressured by John Heinz of Green Bay.  Heinz dropped out with one lap to go.  Pulaski’s Junior Karcz came home second, followed by Saukville’s Roger Johnson, Gillett’s Kyle Frederick and Greenleaf’s Jamie Colwell.

Algoma’s Marcus Moede swept action in the IMCA hobby stock class, winning his heat and the 20 lap feature.  Moede received heavy pressure from Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens right down to the wire.  Lemmens claimed second, followed by Luxemburg’s Chad Kaminski, Sturgeon Bay’s Brandon Peterson and Luxemburg’s Frank Paul.

Next Wednesday night, August 18 will be sponsored by WCUB radio and BBBS.  The street stocks will be the guest class.  Racing gets underway at 7 p.m..
