June 18, 2004; Antigo, Wisconsin; A full grandstand witnessed some great racing action at the Speedway on Friday night. The track was a little rough from the previous week Off-Road races, but the drivers did their best as well as track personnel to make the show as smooth as possible. Gordie Seegert Jr was the winner of an exciting Late Model Feature with Wade Schutt taking the IMCA Modified Feature. Shannon Volkman was the winner of the IMCA Stock Car Feature with Gary Kasperek taking the win in the WISSOTA Street Stock Division. And to finish out the night, Sean Thayer won the Truck Feature for the fourth week in a row.
Todd Flannery jumped to the lead of the WISSOTA Late Model Feature
with Gordie Seegert second, and M.J. Hintz in third. Tim Buhler would take the
inside line around Hintz for the third position. The caution flag would fly
and on the restart Flannery would take the lead with Gordie Seegert second and
Buhler third. Seegert would take the inside line around Flannery for the lead
as the top four would pull away from the rest of the field. Seegert would move
to the outside of Seegert for the lead. Troy Springborn would take take the
inside line around Buhler for the third position. Seegert would make his move
on Flannery when the white flag was shown.
Seegert would make the pass in corner two and take the win with Flannery coming
in a close second and Springborn third.
The IMCA Modified Feature seen Craig Bartz take the lead with Scott Williams second and Jerry Muenster in the third spot. Wade Schutt would take the outside line around Muenster for the third spot, and then take the inside line around Williams for the second spot. The caution flag flew and on the restart, Bartz would take the lead with Schutt second and Tom Haferkorn third. Bartz would slow dramatically and Haferkorn would take over second with Tom Schaal taking the third spot. Schutt would pull away from the rest of the field, leaving the others to battle for position. Schaal would take the inside groove around Haferkorn with only a handful of laps to go. When the laps expired and the checkered flew, it was Schutt taking the win, Schaal second, and Haferkorn in third.
The IMCA Stock Car Feature seen Troy Jerovtz take the lead for half a lap when Greg Gutt would take over the lead for the other half. Greg Giese would take the second spot with Jerovtz third. Jeremy Christians would take the outside line around Jerovtz and Giese to take over second. Larry Karcz Jr. would take over the second spot with an inside pass on Christians. The Cation flag flew and on the restart, Gutt would take the point with Karcz second and Christians third. Shannon Volkman would take the inside of Christians for third, and then take the inside line around Karcz to take over the second spot. Volkman would waste no time moving into the lead when the caution flag would fly.
On the restart, Volkman took the point, Karcz second and Gutt third. Gutt would take the inside line around Karcz for the second spot, as Christians would take the inside line around Karcz and then Gutt to take over the second spot. Karcz would then take the inside line around Gutt to take over third. The caution flag would fly again and on this restart Volkman would take the lead with Christians second and Karcz third. When the laps winded down, it was Volkman taking the win with Christians runner-up and Karcz in the third spot.
The WISSOTA Street Stock Feature seen Jeremy Wolfe jump to the lead with Gary Kasperek second and Brent Schultz in the third position. The top two would pull away from the rest of the field by the fifth lap. Kasperek would then take the outside line around Wolfe, but could not make it stick. The caution flag would fly and on the restart, Wolfe would take the lead with Belland second and Kasperek third. Kasperek would take the outside line wound Belland and Wolfe for the lead, as Belland would also pass Wolfe. When the laps ran out it was Kasperek taking the win, Belland second and Wolfe in the third spot.
The Truck Feature seen Jeremy Dake take the lead with Forest Crandall second, and Mark Arrowood in the third spot. Arrowood would take the inside line around Crandall for the second position as Thayer would take over the third spot with a pass on Crandall also. Thayer would then take the inside line around Arrowood for the second position and then take the inside line around Dake for the lead. When the checkers flew it was Thayer taking the win, Dake second, and Arrowood rounding out the top three.
