May 20, 2005; Antigo, Wisconsin; Scott Williams battled the rough track conditions to win the opening night IMCA Modified Feature Event. Kevin Lamberries scored the Feature Win in the IMCA Stock Cars, and also cashed in on the double payout! The rest of the Feature Events were then cancelled due to the extremely rough track conditions. Track Officials felt that the track was too unsafe to do any further racing.
The IMCA Stock Car Feature seen Asa Doxtator grab the early lead with Darren Otto second and Kevin Lamberries third. Lambries quickly moved to the outside of the track and went around Otto for second and then Doxtator for the lead. Larry Karcz joined the top three with a pass on Doxtator, as the caution flag would fly. On the restart, Lamberries kept the lead, Karcz second and Otto third. After the first completed lap of the restart, the engine of Karcz erupted into smoke forcing another caution. On this restart it was Lamberries regaining the lead, Dan Michonski taking over second, and Otto third. With the checkered flag flying, it was Lamberries to the line first, Michonski second, and Otto third.
The IMCA Modified Feature was next up on the program. Eric Scribner jumped into the lead from his front row starting spot and quickly pulled away from the field. Michael Bailey fell into the second spot with Wade Schutt in a close third. The caution flag quickly came out and on the restart Scribner took his place in
front, Schutt second and Bailey third. Scott Williams took the outside line around Bailey for the third position. Craig Bartz flew around Bailey and then Williams to jump into the third spot. He then decided on the inside line to go around Schutt for the second spot.
Again, the caution flag would fly. Bartz would have some trouble and made his way to the pits. On the restart, Scribner jumped to the lead, Williams second
and Schutt third. Mat McDermid found himself in the top three with an inside pass on Schutt. The Leader, Eric Scribner would have something break on this car,
forcing another caution, and a trip for him to pit lane. The time limit then expired and the race was called. The Winner was Scott Williams, second to Mat
McDermid and third to Wade Schutt.
