Antigo Champions Crowned at Awards Banquet!

Drivers, families, friends and race fans gathered Saturday night February 25, 2006 at Indians Springs Lodge to crown the 2005 Langlade County Speedway Track Champions. The Hospitality Room was courtesy of Gold Star Racing Supplies & Tom Schaal Enterprises. Next came the dinner, and then the awards ceremony. Forest County Potawatomi Community sponsored the point fund checks.
The 2005 Track Champions were honored starting with the Truck Champion of J.P. Remington. Mike Bostwick took home the runner-up spot, Jeff Becker came in third, and John Ripley finished the year in the fourth spot.
Gary Kasperek took top honors in the WISSOTA Street Stocks. Following in a close second was Dan Wanta, and third to Jeremy Wolfe. Brent Schultz rounded out the top four.
The IMCA Stock Car title went to Larry Karcz Jr. for the second year in a row. With only a few points separating the top three, second went to B.J. Giese,
and third to Dan Michonski. Bruce Belland held on for the fourth spot.
The IMCA Modified Division crowed Scott Williams as the Champion for the 2005 season. Charlie Wild came in second, Eric Scribner third and Mike Wedelstadt fourth.
A.J. Diemel celebrated his first Track Championship in the WISSOTA Late Model Division. Following him were Gordie Seegert, Nick Anvelink, and Ron Berna.
The top four competitors in each division were given a trophy sponsored by one of the following businesses. 1 Prospect, M & R Racing Equipment, SMO’S Pit Stop, T.F.R., and Fire-Up Fireworks.
The Antigo Stock Car Club Thanked all the drivers, families, and fans for making 2005 such a great year at Langlade County Speedway. 2006 can only get bigger and better!
