ASAMT CONTINUES TO WORK ON PROMOTING ITS DRIVERS AND TEAMS

Thursday, January 31, 2008 (Daytona Beach, FL) – One of the taglines of the ASA Midwest Tour is “Bringing You the Stars of the Future.” In order to achieve this goal, the ASAMT is asking its drivers and teams that are competing in the 2008 season to help us help you by filling out the driver/race team information sheet found on the track’s website at www.asamidwesttour.com.
The online form is asking for information that the ASAMT feels that the fans, media, and sponsors would like to know about each competitor. The idea is to allow the fans to get to know the drivers and their teams prior to coming to or after they saw an ASAMT event.
Each team is encouraged to take a few minutes and fill out the form as soon as possible. The information will be used for their profile on the ASAMT’s website, media guides, and the official program along with assisting the track announcer(s).
“They are the reason why we are successful,” ASAMT VP Steve Einhaus stated. “In order for us to help the drivers, the teams, and their sponsors, we are asking that each team takes a few minutes to fill out the online form so we are able to provide that information to our fans, sponsors, and media before our opening event on Saturday, April 19th at Elko Speedway in Elko, MN.”
The online information form can be found at: www.asamidwesttour.com/node/225
Last year, the ASAMT website saw over 8.6 million hits and 65,000 unique visitors. One area that received a lot of those hits was the driver information page.
“Just think, if a potential sponsor was looking to support a driver in our series, our driver information page is a great way for them to get to know the driver and their team,” Einhaus stated. “It’s one of the best ways we can help promote our stars.”
This is open to all competitors who are planning on competing in some or all of the 2008 ASAMT events. So far, over 55 drivers have registered to be a part of the second season.
