BURLINGTON, WI (Friday, April 5, 2008) – ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment officials are proud to announce that Lane Automotive, along with Red Line Synthetic Oil and Hyperco have signed on as the title sponsor of the Rookie of the Year program. The program will now be titled the Lane Automotive ASAMT Rookie of the Year presented by Red Line Synthetic Oil and Hyperco.
“We definitely kept an eye on the ASA Midwest Tour last year and they had a great first year,” John Berglund, Advertising Manager and Race Track Promotions for Lane Automotive stated. “We went to the Norway (MI) race and were impressed with the event they put on. We kept up on every race they had, saw the momentum they are growing on, and said that we need to get on board with them.”
Berglund was also impressed with what the ASAMT brings to each of their events, “They have veteran super late model drivers who the fans recognize and have the experience to put on a great show for the fans,” Berglund explained. “We didn’t want to come in just as a contingency sponsor, we wanted to be involved. When Steve (Einhaus, ASAMT VP) presented his Rookie of the Year program, we felt that would be a great way for us to get more exposure and the opportunity for us to provide a very desirable reward program.”
Berglund did state that they not only present a large end of season award to the top finishing rookie, but they will also be providing awards at each event, “We are still working out the details, but we could be looking at an end of season bonus of over $2,000 to the Rookie of the Year. With the list of rookies they have coming in this season, it should be a great battle!”
