SPONSORS PARTICIPATE IN ASAMT BANQUET

Daytona Beach, FL (Friday, February 15, 2008) – The race teams that participated in the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment Banquet back on January 26th at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI, left with more than just a check. Some received gifts that will help them prepare for the 2008 season.

Hoosier Racing Tires was a big supporter of the inaugural season for the ASAMT with their support towards the point fund program. With their support along with the other sponsors, a total of $126,000 was handed out in cash and prizes at the banquet.

2007 ASAMT Champion, Nathan Haseleu, not only walked away with a check for $6,650. He, along with his Swiss Colony Race Team, took home a list of contingency prizes including: Power Train Technology 5.5” Complete Clutch Assembly valued at $900, Penske/Competition Tire $300 Product Certificate, AP Brakes provided one complete set of front and rear brake discs valued at $400, a Kwik Trip Gas Card for $200, a chain saw from Echo Outdoor Power Equipment, a $200 certificate from Draco Springs, and a Champions jacket from Hoosier Racing Tires.

Jonathan Eilen, 2007 ASAMT Rookie of the Year, also went home a shopping cart full of prizes as well along with a point fund check of $1,995. The most notable prize was a Roltek Transmission valued at $5,000. He also received the following: Hydro Max Throw-Out Bearing from Power Train Technology valued at $250, complete set of front and rear brake discs from AP Brakes valued at $400, Avcomm and Competition Race Technology presented Eilen with a Complete Crew Chief Radio System valued at $500, Penske/Competition Tire $300 product certificate, Kwik Trip Gas Card for $200, Draco Springs $200 certificate, and a Rookie of the Year jacket from Hoosier Racing Tires.

Haseleu and Eilen were not the only ones to take home prizes that night as all 19 drivers who were eligible for point fund money, total approximately around $33,000, also took home a variety of prizes as well. The list of prizes include: One complete body and one half body from Five Star Race Car Bodies (valued at $3,800), Set of 4 Piston Calipers from Performance Friction Brakes (valued at $3,000), three $200 certificates from Quarter Master, three $200 certificates from Tex Transmissions, three $200 certificates from Hawk Performance, four Race Management Systems from Intercomp ($400 value each), Schaeffers Oil presented over $1,500 in racing oil and diesel additive products, Joe Gibbs Racing Oil presented five cases of racing oil, Echo Outdoor Power Equipment had various prizes ranging from four chain saws to six backyard mosquito sprayer attachments, and four $50 certificates off the purchase of software from Stock Car Stats Pro.

Plus, Dave Feiler received a Lefthander Chassis for his Hard Charger Award and Russ Blakely received a $500 certificate from Five Star for his Hard Luck Award.

And don’t forget that Brandon Hill, Travis Sauter, and Kris Kelly were also recipients of a new racing engine courtesy of Pro Power, B&B Racing Engines, and Tesar Engineering, a total value over $75,000 alone.
