BURLINGTON, WI (Wednesday, January 07, 2009) - Interstate 39/90 between the Rockton Road and Riverside Drive exits will be busy this weekend as the racing community will get together for the 3rd Annual Lefthander Chassis Trade Show and the Illinois Racers Auction. Both events will be taking place at two different locations but are just a mile off of the interstate, just north of Rockford, IL on Friday, January 9th and Saturday, January 10th.

The Lefthander Chassis Trade Show and Seminars will take place at their headquarters located at 13750 Metric Drive in Roscoe, IL, just a mile west of the Rockton Road exit off of I-39/90.

The Trade Show itself will have more than 50 vendors, racing series and tracks on hand on throughout Lefthander's shop. One of the booths will be the ASA Midwest Tour booth. Steve Einhaus, ASAMT Vice-President will be on hand to talk about the 2009 season.

Both days will also have a full schedule of seminars in the area of shocks, safety, brakes, bodies, engine, chassis tech, tires and fuel. A detailed schedule and seminar registration is available at www.lefthanderchassis.com.

Wayne Lensing will also have his popular Historic Auto Attractions Museum open for the attendees as well.

The Illinois Racers Auction through Midwest Racers Auction will take place at the Sportscore Indoor Sports Center located at 8800 E. Riverside Blvd in Loves Park, IL, located about 1.5 miles east of the East Riverside Blvd exit off of I-39/90.

This popular auction will have many cars and parts going on the auction block this weekend including the Dick Trickle Replica Mustang that Trickle himself drove in the pace laps prior to last year's running of the Dick Trickle "99" event at Oktoberfest.

The cars will begin to sell at noon on Saturday and one of the first cars through the ring will be the two time defending Madison International Speedway Big 8 style Championship car of Bobby Wilberg, a Lefthander Chassis with new Five Star Body. A newly updated Pathfinder Chassis with new front and brand new body is also in transit to Illinois' Largest Racer's Auction. Other pre-consigned rolling stock includes five late model chassis including those from premier American Speed Association Midwest Tour and ASA North teams encompassing the Lefthander, Howe and Coleman brands. Additionally two Modifieds, a Street Stock, a 4 cylinder Hornet, open trailers as well as a ¾ ton Chevrolet Van are all slated to sell on Saturday afternoon with additional cars expected.

With parts flowing in from Richard Childress Racing, Gillett Evernham Motorsports and Dale Earnhardt, Inc as well as Howe Enterprises, Diamond Wheel, Gandrud Chevrolet, BEWAY Race Products , Lefthander Chassis, numerous engine and speed shops as well as championship winning local and regional teams, this sale promises to deliver the parts you need for your 2009 racing efforts. Unlike swap meets or internet classified sites, you can see, touch and inspect every item and the best part is that everything sells.

Consignments will be taken from 4pm until 8pm on Wednesday and from 11am until 8pm on Thursday. Walk-in consignments are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

As part of the Racer's Winter Get-A-Way Destination Weekend, attendees are being offered a special Racer's Weekend Pass for just $12 which will not only provide admission and a bidder's card at the Midwest Motorsports Racer's Auction and Trade Show, it will also grant access to the Lefthander Chassis Trade Show with over fifty manufacturers represented, located just minutes from the auction. This pass will go on sale starting Friday at either location. For more information regarding this event please call 815-316-7841 or visit www.midwestracersauction.com.
