CONTINGENCY SPONSORS SHOW THEIR SUPPORT TO THE ASAMT IN 2009

BURLINGTON, WI (Tuesday, April 21, 2009) - It's only a few days from the opening event of the 2009 American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment season. Along with the purse that is paid out at each event, many contingency sponsors are also providing awards at each event this season.

In order for teams to receive the contingency awards, they must be American Speed Association members, have all of the decals on their cars, and be in good standing.

Here are the contingency sponsors for each event (subject to change).

AP Brakes - One set of Discs to the sixth place finisher

Bassett Wheels - $30 certificate to the second place finisher

Butlerbuilt Seats - $100 to the eleventh place finisher

Coleman Racing - One set of brake rotors to the 19th Qualifier

Fel-Pro Gaskets - One complete engine gasket kit to the 10th place finisher

Five Star Race Car Bodies - $100 Hard Luck Award

Hypercoils - One Spring to the fourth, ninth and eleventh place finishers

Joe's Racing Products - $50 to the 13th place finisher

Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil - Oil/Degreaser Package

Landrum Springs - $50 Hard Charger Award

Penske Racing Shocks - $100 each to the first and second place finisher

Performance Friction - $100 each to the third and fifth place finisher

Powertrain Tech - $100 to the fifth place finisher

Quarter Master - $100 to the third place finisher and $50 each to the 10th and 15th finisher

Red Line Oil - $100 each to the seventh and tenth place finisher

Schaeffer's Oil - One Case of Oil to the winner
Twelve pints of Diesel Treat to the second and eleventh place finisher

Stock Car Stats Software - $50 certificate to the 13th and 16th place finisher

Tilton/Sonic - $125 to the winner and $75 to the eighth place finisher

Wehrs Machine - $100 to the winner of the first fast dash

VDL Fuel Systems - $100 to the Fast Qualifier

Also, throughout the season the 2009 Lane Automotive Rookie of the Year contenders will be competing for a package that includes a bonus from Lane Automotive, a Roltek Transmission, and other prizes.

Wegner Automotive will also be giving away two carburetors as well as VDL Fuel Systems giving away a carburetor sometime during the season.

The 2009 season opens this Saturday with the Race for the Gold Bronze Race, a 125-lap feature event for the ASAMT.

Along with the exciting Super Late Model action, the DRP Super Stocks and Pure Stocks will also be competing to guarantee a night of action packed racing this upcoming Saturday night.
