Scott Performance Wire to sponsor fast qualifier award  beginning at Hawkeye Downs
 
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA -- Scott Performance Wire will sponsor a fast qualifier bonus award for the American StockCar League (ASL) racing events beginning with Wednesday night's 150-lap race at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, IA. Each fast qualifier will receive a $100 bonus from Scott Performance Wire.  An added $50 will be included in the "Scott Wire Shuffle".
   
The fastest qualifier will be introduced to the crowd at the  race and at that time he will choose between four cards.  If he pulls a Jocker, the driver will received all the bonus money in the "Scott Wire Shuffle" pot which goes up $50 each race until a winner pulls the Jocker.   The remaining three cards will be a 4, 6 and 8.  If the driver pulls a 4, the race will be inverted 4 spots according to time trials.  If the driver pulls a 6, the invert will be a 6 and if the driver pulls the 8 card, then the invert will be 8. The "Scott Wire Shuffle" bonus for the first race will be $200, which would make the total fast qualifying award worth $300. "We like to be involved in fun stuff like this," said Scott Performance Wire president Brian Scott.  
   
Qualifying starts at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. at the Keith Fleck Miller 200 on the Hawkeye Downs half-mile paved oval.
