Popular Royal Rumble race filled with Mid-Am Stock Cars and Super Trucks

KAUKAUNA, WI -- A popular race is back at Wisconsin International Raceway and the field is filled for Tuesday night's Royal Rumble Mid-Am Super Truck vs. Mid-American Stock Car Series 30-Lap feature race.

The race is being run in conjunction with the American StockCar League 150 and the B & B Race Engines Late Model Shootout for the Wally  Jors Cup.   Time trials begin at 4 p.m. with racing on the half-mile paved track at 7:15 p.m. The August 2nd car vs. truck race returns after events run with the ARGTO Dixieland Challenge in 1997 and 1998.  Game Day Promotions dropped the race when they took over the running of the Tuesday night special at WIR. This year's race is being promoted by Mid-American Stock Car Series, Inc. with some of the profits going towards point funds of various series run under the Mid-American banner. The Mid-Am Super Trucks are wider, but taller than the stock cars resulting in nearly identical lap times at WIR.
