KAUKAUNA, WI -- Terry Baldry of Omro, WI, who has won an amazing 11 track tiltes at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna during Fox River Racing Club Thursday night late model events, has officially filled the field for the B & B Race Engines Late Model Shootout Tuesday night, Aug. 2 at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna.   The 44-lap feature winner will receive the Wally Jors Memorial Cup, honoring a former competitor who helped the racing club get established at the track in 1975.   Jors never lived to see the race track prosper as he died of a heart attack halfway through the 1975 season following the conclusion of a race at Hales Corners Speedway.

   
Ironically Baldry will be one of the few drivers who actually raced against Jors while he was living.  Hales Corners Speedway honored Jors for years, but when the track closed several years ago his memorial race also ended.  Series officials hope to make the race an annual mid-season classic. In addition to his 11 track titles at WIR, Baldry has also claimed the Red, White & Blue State Championship twice and the Midwest AllStar Racing Series (MARS) late model title in 2002. Baldry was also a front runner in the ARTGO Challenge Series and the ASA National Tour.

   
Tuesday night's program also includes the American StockCar League (ASL) 150 for a new series replacing the former ASA National Tour.  Rounding out the events will be the Royal Rumble Mid-American Stock Car vs. Super Truck 30-lap feature. Qualifying begins at 4 p.m. with racing at 7:15 p.m.
