Tim Lemirande of Verona drove his fifth win of the season in the 20-lap Johnsonville Brats Modifieds A-Main on Thrivent Financial/Taco Bell Night at Charter Raceway Park on Saturday night. Lemirande, who started the event in row five, sliced his way through the traffic before taking the lead from Eddie Lemay Jr. of Milwaukee on lap nine. Once out in front, Lemirande pulled away from the rest of the field and went onto win by a comfortable margin. Russ Reinwald of Iron Ridge asserted himself over the last half of the race and finished in second. Lemay followed in third. Aaron Rake of Beaver Dam had his best run of the year with a fourth place finish. Mike Sandholm of Oconomowoc moved up from the seventh row to take fifth.

Roger Lee of Wind Lake scored his fifth win of the season in the 20-lap The Mortgage Guys Grand Nationals A-Main. Lee moved up quickly from his fourth row starting position and slipped past Todd Ascherien of Beaver Dam on lap four to take the lead. In the later stages of the race, Lee held off the challenges of Ascherien and Steve Seitz of Beaver Dam to pick up the win. Seitz was able to get by Ascherien to take second. Following Lee, Seitz and Ascherien across the line at the finish were Brian Gerber of Waupun and Tommy Moore of Muskego.

Jon Schultz of Waunakee picked up his second win in a row as he captured the 20-lap Dodge Central Credit Union Stocks A-Main. Schultz needed only four laps to move up from his fifth row starting position to take the lead. Jerry Winkler of Oshkosh started right behind Schultz in row six and moved up to take second. Barry Cates of Greenfield drove to third ahead of Dan Troyan of Menomonie Falls and Craig Lepple of Beaver Dam.

In the Gibbsville Cheese INEX Legends/Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series 20-lap A-Main, Joel Wyttenbach of Sauk City recovered from a spin on lap 8 that sent him to the rear of the field to charge back and claim his fourth win of the season. Phil Van Tatenhove of Gibbsville, who has been running strong all season, came from the fifth row to finish in second. Darwin Banes of Beaver Dam led the first six laps and finished in third. For Banes, who is running a limited schedule, it was his best finish of the season. Mike Mueller of Waupun and Tom Hunter of Merrill also had their best finishes of the season crossing the line in fourth and fifth. 

Aaron Stolp of West Allis took over the lead just past the halfway point of the Wally’s Auto Dirt Devils 20-lap A-Main. Stolp held the top spot the rest of the way in recording his fourth win of the season. Tim Draheim of Beaver Dam and Stephan Lemay of Milwaukee followed closely behind Stolp in taking second and third. Brian Budde of Beaver Dam drove to fourth. Bob Nelson of South Milwaukee was fifth.

In preliminary action, Don Scheffler of Wauwatosa and Jeremy Christians of Horicon won the modified B-Mains. Heat race wins were registered by Tim Lemirande, Brad McGuire of New Berlin, Mike Klenz of West Bend, Russ Reinwald and Eddie Lemay Jr. The grand national heat race victories went to Roger Lee and Todd Ascherien. Stock heat race wins were recorded by Barry Cates, Jerry Winkler and Dan Troyan. The legends heat wins were claimed by Brad Weber of Rolling Prairie, Eric Barth and George Giesen. The dirt devils heats went to Race McComb of Hartford, Aaron Stolp and Kevin Allard of Brandon.

Jeff Drzonek “Doolittle” of Beaver Dam won the special Tommy Moore Grand National mechanics race. Robyn Vis of Brandon finished in second. Bill Dumine of New Berlin was third.
