FreeTime Motorsports excited to be part of Back Home 100
Reedsburg team to have Chris Wimmer drive their No. 007

Long-time Reedsburg businessman, Jim Hulberg will provide NASCAR driver Chris Wimmer with one of his team's two Super Late Models, to pilot at the Dells Raceway Park in the Tuesday, June 12th American Speed Association Midwest Tour's debut visit to the historic Wisconsin Dells one-third mile track.

Hulberg, who owns and operates JH Automotive Unlimited in Reedsburg, WI specializes in transmission repair. He has operated his Reedsburg business since 1981 and has been in the automotive field since 1969.

A six-time Wisconsin State Champion truck puller, Hulberg began his own racing career in a 1969 Camaro dragster that he built and raced. Always enjoying motor sports and new challenges, he purchased the former No. 2 Dells Late Model team from Bob Gavin in 2004.

Running as a two-car team in 2004, Dells' Rookie of the Year candidate, Bruce Bill joined Wisconsin short-track veteran Todd Stapleman as Hulberg's first two drivers. The next season saw FreeTime Motorsports expand to a three-car operation, as Hulberg added Rookie Matt Gawronski to his team.

"I have always enjoyed working with new drivers and giving promising talent an opportunity to compete in one of my Super Late Models. I am thrilled to be able to put a driver like Chris Wimmer into the No. 007 for this big ASA event at DRP," said Hulberg.

With Gavin's help, Hulberg has quickly turned FreeTime Motorsports into one of Wisconsin's most competitive Super Late Model teams. In 2006 the team ran several Wisconsin Challenge Series events, with Roy Melbinger and Stapleman.

FreeTime Motorsports has starts at Golden Sands, Marshfield, Madison International Speedway, La Crosse, Rockford, and the Dells Raceway Park. The team was very strong in 2006 and in position to win its first track Championship with Stapleman before legal troubles with the previous owner of the Dells track wiped out the season and the team's title hopes.

I'm excited about Chris Wimmer returning to the Dells. This young man has always run well here, just missing the 1999 track championship. We'd like nothing better than to see him put our No. 007 into DRP's Victory Lane.

Chris Wimmer's Back Home 100 FreeTime Motorsports entry will race with sponsorship from JH Automotive Unlimited, Brewster's Lanes, C & H Distributing - Miller Beer, Mike's Heating and Cooling, CarQuest Auto Parts of Reedsburg, Steve's Auto Service Inc., Reedsburg Hardwoods, Weyh's Window Washing, Schulz Automotive, Poor Nates Bar, JR's Remodeling, Boardman Conveyor, Gavin Construction, R & J Liquor, Millers Marine, Beagles Bar and Grill, Sugar River Pro Shop, Wisconsin Metals, and MS Racing for a Cure.
