ELKO, MN (May 17, 2005) - Officials from the Minnesota Late Model Challenge Series have selected Friday August 26th as the make-up date for the event that was rained out on Saturday May 14th at the Elko (MN) Speedway. Rain put a damper on the evening just as the first few of the 32 cars in attendance attempted their qualifying runs, forcing the postponement.

The Minnesota Late Model Challenge Series is a six race series that competes at three different tracks throughout Minnesota. I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre, Elko Speedway in Elko and Raceway Park in Shakopee each host two events.

The next Minnesota Late Model Challenge Series race will be Sunday May 22 at Raceway Park.
