WEBSITE DEDICATED TO OKTOBERFEST IS NOW OPEN

By: Kevin Ramsell
WEST SALEM, WI (Thursday, September 18, 2008) - With 19 divisions competing over four days and over 15,000 race fans in attendance, an event of this magnitude needs to have its own website.  Oktoberfest organizers in conjunction with speedXdesign, Inc has created www.oktoberfestraceweekend.com.

The site features everything that fans, competitors, and historians will need to prepare for the 39th Annual event that will take place on Oktober 2-5 at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, WI.

When you visit the site, you will find 11 different categories: news, schedules, gallery, fans, competitors, events, sponsors, history, maps, camper village, and lodging.

The "news" link will have the latest news pertaining to this year's event while the "schedules" page provides the most detailed time schedule of the four-day event along with printable versions to bring along.

The "Gallery" page will soon feature photos from past events and this year's event and the "Fans" page has a welcome letter, ticket prices and upcoming Oktoberfest dates through the year 2020.

If you are planning on competing at this year's Fest, click on the "Competitors" page to download the entry form.  Please note, that if you are planning on competing in Friday's Dick Trickle "99" as well as the American Speed Association Midwest Tour or ASA Late Model Series event, you will need to file an Oktoberfest entry for the Dick Trickle "99" as well as the entry form for the American Speed Association Midwest Tour or ASA Late Model Series.

The "Events" page will soon feature all of the activities on and off the track during the four-day weekend and the "Sponsors" page will be feature those who are supporting this year's event.

The "History" page is a page that John McKarns, Oktoberfest Promoter has a lot of pride in.  "In addition to great information about the upcoming FEST activities, the new website recounts some of the history of this traditional big season-ending event which Larry Wehrs started in 1970," McKarns stated.  "The list of past winners and past participants is most impressive!"

The "Maps" page will provide everyone with the easiest route to get to the Speedway while the "Camper Village" page provides all of the information that a camper at Fest will need to know.

Not planning on camping at Fest, check out the "Lodging" page which has a comprehensive list of hotels within a 45 minute drive of La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.

"I have always been a fan of this event," Scott Lofquist of speedXdesign, Inc. stated.  "I felt that an event of this magnitude deserved its own site and it was a pleasure to put this together for them.  I agree with John that the most interesting about the site is the information that he has provided in the history section.  I think anyone who is interested in this site will find all of the answers to their questions regarding Oktoberfest."

Please visit www.oktoberfestraceweekend.com for future updates regarding the 39th annual event.
