RAIN WASHES OUT LUXEMBURG SPEEDWAY LATE MODEL SPECIAL

(Luxemburg, WI) June 11 - More than three inches of rain that had fallen within a three day period forced officials at Luxemburg Speedway to cancel the Seubert Calf Ranches Battle of The Burg III for dirt late models this evening.

The event was to be the first ever at the track for the newly-formed Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association (WDLMA). "We had a pile of late models coming so this is really dissapointing," said track manager Rick Goral. "This is our fourth rainout in seven weeks. It's discouraging but there's not much you can do about it."

Goral, WDLMA president Brian Konopka and Mike Seubert are currently working to find a raindate for this event that is suitable for all parties. That raindate is expected to be selected soon.

Next Friday night Coca Cola will sponsor Big Wheel races for kids ages 3 to 10. A full program of IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks and sport fours is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
