LUXEMBURG SPEEDWAY READIES FOR FOURTH ANNUAL TWO DAY SPECIAL SEPTEMBER 14 & 15
(Luxemburg, WI) September 7 - The fourth annual Luxemburg Speedway two day fall classic presented by Augie's Sports Bar and Grill and Seubert Calf Ranches is slated for Friday September 14 and Saturday September 15. The raindate, if needed, will be Sunday, September 16.
Nine divisions will be in action during the two day show. On Friday night Grand national sportsman will run a complete show. IMCA style modifieds, stock cars, northern sportmods and hobby stocks will run heat races, along with street stocks, sport fours and Eastern 8's, Thunderbombs/Challengers.
On Saturday, the Fastrak late models will run a complete program, while last chance qualifiers and A mains will be run in other divisions. A trailer race of destruction will cap off the show on Saturday after all of the races have been run.
A new twist in the qualifying format for the features will be in effect. If a driver fails to qualify for Saturday's A mains on Friday night, drivers will be able run another heat with a second chance to qualify. "If you started on the pole in the first heat and didn't qualify, you will now start dead last in the next heat as the draw will be reversed," said track manager Rick Goral. "The last place car will now be on the pole for the second heat as we will reverse the order of the draw. It gives a driver with a bad draw a better chance the second time around."
Money to win in each division in Saturday nights features are as follows: Mods $1,500, stock cars $1,000, street stocks $700, northern sportmods $600, hobby stocks $500, challenger and sport four classes $500, respectively.
The pay to start each division's features is as follows: Modifieds $125, stock cars $90, street stocks $75, northern sportmods $65, hobby stocks $50, challenger and sport four classes $40, respectively. The pit area opens at 1 p.m. both days. One day pit passes are $25.00 while a two day pit pass is $45.00. Hot laps will take place at 5:30 Friday with racing starting at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday hot laps will commence at 4 p.m. with the first green flag flying at 4:30 p.m. The grandstand will open at 5:30 p.m on Friday and at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
