LUXEMBURG SPEEDWAY PREPARES FOR ANNUAL TWO DAY SPECIAL SEPTEMBER 12 & 13
(Luxemburg, WI) September 4 - The annual Luxemburg Speedway two day fall classic presented by Augie's Sports Bar and Grill is slated for Friday September 12 and Saturday September 13 at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds. The raindate, if needed, will be Sunday, September 14.
Seven classes will compete during the two day show. IMCA-style modified, stock cars, northern sportmods and hobby stocks will compete. In addition grand national sportsman, street stocks and 4 cylinders will compete.
Qualifying heat races will be run Friday night. If a driver fails to qualify for Saturday's A mains on Friday night, drivers will be able run another heat with a second chance to qualify. Money to win in each division in Saturday nights features are as follows: Mods $1,500, stock cars $1,000, sport mods, grand nationals and street stocks $700. Hobby stocks and 4 cylinders will each compete for a $500 to win feature on Saturday night.
The pay to start each division's features is as follows: Modifieds $125, stock cars $90, street stocks, northern sportmods and grand nationals $75. Hobby stocks will race for $50 to start while the 4 cylinder feature will pay $40 to start.
The pit area opens Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Pit admission is $ 25.00 each day. Hot laps will take place at 5:30 Friday with racing starting at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday hot laps will commence at 4 p.m. with the first green flag flying at 4:30 p.m. The grandstand will open at 5:30 p.m on Friday and at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Adult admission will be $9.00 on Friday and $12.00 on Saturday. Students are $5.00 Friday and $7.00 Saturday. 10 and under are free with a paid adult both days. No claiming will be taking place in any divisions during this two day race.
