DRIVER'S MEETING SET FOR LUXEMBURG SPEEDWAY JANUARY 30

(Luxemburg, WI) - An informational meeting for drivers pertaining to the upcoming 2009 racing season at Luxemburg Speedway will be held Friday, January 30 at 7 p.m. at Northbrook Country Club in Luxemburg. Drivers will receive information packets, including copies of the rules. IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks and northern sportmods will compete weekly along with sport 4's.

Items that will be discussed include a rule change in the Sport 4 division allowing 16 valve and twin cam engines. Minor release forms will be available and a weekly, rotating class schedule will be discussed. Other issues up for discussion include the contact rule, black flag rules and the number of cars starting feature events. An update on the progress of the catch fence will be provided along with possible easier access to the grandstand from the pit area. The season schedule will be revealed, along with discussion on the special events, tech and track preparation issues, pit pass and grandstand pricing. Whether or not to use raceievers will be brought up as well.

Pit stalls will be sold at this meeting. Front row stalls will be $100 and all other spots will be $50. To reserve your 2008 pit stall for the 2009 season, payment must be received by 7:30 p.m. on February 2 by driver or car owner in person with no exceptions. All unclaimed pit stalls not reclaimed from 2008 and all other open pit stalls will be sold on a first come, first served basis after cutoff time.

Also drivers, crew members and fans are reminded about the deadline to purchase banquet tickets for $22.00 is Saturday, January 17.
