We ask all of you to support those who support racing: WEAVER AUTO PARTS ASA Late Models CARQUEST Super Late Models ROCKWEILER INSULATION Midwest Trucks BRYDEN MOTORS Area Sportsman We are excited to have Bryden Motors of Beloit with us in 2005 along with the three returning divisional sponsors.

Major Contingency Program at MIS
Steve Einhaus has announced that a major contingency program is coming to MIS for 2005. The program will make available a minimum of $50,000 in contingency products / certificates over the course of the season to competitors in Madison International Speedway's four weekly divisions: ASA Late Models, Super Late Models, Midwest / Mid Am Super Trucks, and Area Sportsman.
Madison International Speedway is proud to be one of only sixty tracks nationwide to be part of the Contingency Connection program. National manufacturers such as Auto Meter, MSD, Comp Cams, Mr. Gasket, Lincoln Electric, Mallory, Accel, Crane Cams, and Painless Wiring are just some of the contingency sponsors. Winning racers will receive their awards directly from the manufacturers.
Drivers will be required to register for the contingency program in early April. Two divisions will be featured each week on a rotating basis with the winning drivers receiving a $25.00 certificate for every contingency sponsor decal they are displaying on their car or truck. Additionally, a $2000 bonus award which includes merchandise and certificates from Mr. Gasket will go to one of our four divisional track champions. Richmond Gear and Parts Pro Performance Center will also be sponsoring a monthly "Weekend Warrior" bonus program.
More information on these programs will be available in April and questions should be directed to Steve Einhaus at miseinhaus@yahoo.com. "I am very happy to see that we were accepted by the Contingency Connection to participate in this awesome program. It's not too often that you see weekly contingencies at local short tracks. This gives our racers the opportunity to win a huge bonus on top of their weekly payouts," said Einhaus.
Membership forms for the 2005 racing season are available on the MIS website at www.madisoninternationalspeedway.com. "I would encourage everyone who is considering racing at MIS in 2005 to purchase a membership. In order to be eligible for this program a driver must hold an MIS membership. This is a great deal for drivers in all four of our weekly divisions," noted Einhaus. Any questions / comments should be directed to Steve Einhaus.

Here Come the Sportsman
Madison International Speedway is very happy to have the Area Sportsman division as part of our weekly racing program. "We are following the Jefferson rule book. This is what the drivers want and we are going to see that we have an even playing field. This is a great group of guys and we are going to do everything we can to make this division successful," said Einhaus.

Divisions Will Rotate in 2005
The order of racing events will vary from night to night in 2005. "I want to be fair to all divisions. We will rotate the order of divisions for heat races and feature races each week. I'm going to try to avoid having the WEAVER AUTO PARTS ASA Late Models and CARQUEST Super Late Models going back to back since we will have some drivers piloting cars in both divisions,"said Einhaus.

Dick Trickle to Race Opener at MIS
Wisconsin's Track of Champions will truly live up to its billing when one of the top short track drivers in Wisconsin history comes to Madison International Speedway for the season opener on Sunday, May 1. The legendary Dick Trickle will be at MIS racing in the Wisconsin Challenge Series event that is part of the season opener.
"I'm really looking forward to it. It's a great place to start the season for me coming back to Madison International Speedway," said Trickle. "I've spent a lot of time at Madison over the past thirty years," he added.
Trickle is no stranger to Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile as he won track championships here in 1971 and 1972 and along the way has collected a record seventy-two feature victories. Trickle commented, "I won my share...maybe more than my share." Trickle also commented about the crowds at Madison...both past and present. "It was always an enthusiastic crowd. The fans were great. From Rockford to the Dells and into southwestern Wisconsin. The half-mile featured a lot of speed and the races were always great. I always enjoyed it...it was and always will be a challenging track."
Trickle plans to bring his own car with him to Madison and it's a chassis he is very familiar with from his full-time short track racing days. The car named Goldie was the same chassis Trickle ran before going south to race NASCAR events back in 1989. "It will be basically be the same chassis. I ran the car back in 1989 and 1990 in a half dozen shows. I ran at Slinger, Kaukauna, Dells, and Phoenix with this car. We will have a new motor and body on it and all the other updates for the five or six shows we plan to run in the midwest this season," commented Trickle, who noted that Minnesota's Kevin Lang has updated this car for him.
"It's going to be a lot of fun. We're not going to go back into any full-time racing. It's going to be fun driving against second and third generation drivers of guys that I used to race against. For a lot of the new fans they probably heard about me from their dads or uncles and for many of the guys I used to race against it's special when they stop by and say hi. I get to see a lot of my old fans and they bring the young ones with them," added Trickle.
Trickle will be part of an impressive lineup when the Wisconsin Challenge Series' makes its first ever visit to Madison International Speedway. "We are expecting a great turnout of drivers for this race. Interest is high and as we get closer to opening day the excitement will soar to even greater heights," said MIS promoter Steve Einhaus. "The Wisconsin Challenge Series is a great series and we are expecting many familiar faces to be among the super late model drivers trying to make the show...as well as some new faces too," he added.
Pit gates will open on May 1 at 10:00 AM. Hot laps begin at Noon with qualifying at 1:30. Racing action begins at 3:00 PM. The Big Eight Limited Late Model Series will also be in action for the season opener. For more information please call the track at 608.835.9700 or email us at mismedia2@yahoo.com

Bickle Joins the Field for MIS Opener
Madison International Speedway promoter Steve Einhaus has announced that Rich Bickle Jr. will be returning to Wisconsin's Track of Champions for the season opener on Sunday, May 1. Bickle is a past track champion with titles in both 1985 and 1986. Bickle has sixteen career feature wins at Madison which makes him eleventh on the all-time list. The season opener includes the first-ever appearance by the Wisconsin Challenge Series for super late models. Also on the racing card will be the Big Eight Limited Late Model Series. "We are very excited about our opener. The WCS and Big Eight Series will bring big numbers of cars to Madison. It is going to be a great day of racing and we are very happy to have Rich racing with us, " said Einhaus. Bickle will be amongst a talented field of drivers that includes the return of Madison's all-time feature winner Dick Trickle.

Todd Kluever to Return to MIS!
Todd Kluever will be returning to Madison International Speedway to join an already impressive field lining up for the first ever appearance by the Wisconsin Challenge Series for the season opener on Sunday, May 1.

Big Names Returning to MIS in 2005
We are very happy at the response from drivers during the off-season who have indicated they will be returning to MIS in 2005. Expect to see Beloit's Ryan Hanson in an ASALM this season along with Nate Haseleu, Jason Schuler, and Wisonsin Rapids hotshoe Flyin Bryan Reffner. The list of names in the super late models is equally as impressive with many well known names from the past coming back to MIS. New names are surfacing in the truck division as the Mid Am Super Trucks and Midwest Trucks are now welcome to race with each other. The Area Sportsman division is taking shape as the rulebook follows the "Jefferson" rules.
