Review of Last Friday Night Wow!!!
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the races this past Friday night with over 90 cars in action. Here's a review of what happened:

Weaver Auto Parts ASA Late Models
Nathan Haseleu saved the best for the end of the race with a last lap pass of Jeff Watters to come home the winner in the 35 lap feature. Over 30 cars were in action solid showings from Bobby Wilberg, Troy Hintzsche, and Ryan Carlson of Loves Park, Illinois. Yes, that was Chase Austin of Eudora, Kansas, driving the #111 car. He will definitely be a name to remember and is another example of a driver being signed by a major NASCAR team at a very early age. Another youngster, Matt Byrne of Burlington, found victory lane with his first heat victory. Brandon Waelti was piloting the #7 Wood Brothers ASALM. Brandon has driven at MIS in the Midwest Truck Series but is best known for his accomplishments on the dirt at Angell Park in Sun Prairie. Two weeks in a row for Bobby Wilberg as he set times in both the ASALM and Super Late Models.

Bryden Motors Super Late Models
Jeremy Miller picked up his first ever super late model victory at MIS by winning the Verona Night forty lap feature in only his second night out in a super late at Madison. It was also a solid night for Waterford's Jeff Storm and Cherry Valley's Steve Rubeck. Veteran Jim Carlson of LaCrosse picked up a heat win as well. Wausau's Jeremy Lepak escaped injury in what many long-time MIS fans said was one of the worst wrecks in track history. Fortunately, Jeremy was able to walk away from the incident that saw his car hit the wall, get upside down, start on fire, and launch over the wall in turn four. This occurred during his qualifying laps. Later in the evening John Knaus of Rockford made hard contact with the outside wall between turns three and four. John was a little shaken up, but we are happy to report that he is ok.

Bryden Motors Area Sportsman
Ten Area Sportsman cars took to the track with Mark DePorter of Fort Atkinson taking the checkered flag in the heat race. Stoughton's Carey Hensel made it two for two with his win in the feature. Great to see Josh Weir back at the track along with first time visits from Josh Cortney and DePorter.

Mid American Stock Car Series
Round One of the Triple Crown Series for the Mid American Stock Cars was very successful with over thirty cars making the trip to MIS. Gary LaMonte of West Allis set a new track record for the Mid-AM cars (In fact, six drivers broke the old track record). Jonathon Eilen of Hampton, Minnesota, was victorious in the 30 lap feature event. Ironically it was Eilen who held the previous track record set last August. The Mid Am Series will be back two more times in 2005.

Double Duty Nathan Haseleu, Bobby Wilberg, and Jared Ziegler all pulled double duty in the ASALM and Super Lates. Jeremy Miller raced in the Super Lates and Mid AM cars with Brett Piontek in both the Mid AM and ASALM.
