MIS Announces Weekly Divisions for 2007
Three weekly divisions will be featured in 2007 at Madison International Speedway when the season opens next April. General Manager Dave Grueneberg announced today that the Madison Late Models, Limited Late Models, and Bandits will comprise the three divisions that will be on the schedule each week. The Madison Late Models begin their fourth season at MIS while the Bandits and Limited Late Models are back for their second season. “We feel that these will be three very competitive divisions. We wanted to get the limited late models back as a weekly division after running a limited slate in 2006,” said Grueneberg.
Grueneberg added that besides the three weekly divisions, a fourth division will be featured each night as well. “This division will vary from week to week. Fans will have an opportunity to see a wide variety of different divisions over the course of the year,” noted Grueneberg. These include Area Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, Super Trucks, Super Stocks, Ford Focus Midgets, Legends, Bandoleros, and others. “The fans are going to be the real winners at MIS. With three solid weekly divisions and a fourth division joining the program each week, fans will definitely get their money’s worth,” commented Grueneberg.
At this point the schedule for the 2007 season is still being finalized, but Grueneberg was quick to point out that fans would be seeing more super late model racing in 2007. “We are planning to have five or six super late model events in 2007. This is what the fans and drivers want to see us do more of and we’re going to make it happen.”
In a related matter Grueneberg announced that Ken Lund will be the technical director at MIS in 2007. “We are very happy to have Ken on board with us again in 2007. We are in the process of finalizing our technical staff to assist Ken.”
A tentative schedule for the 2007 racing season will be released shortly. Fans are encouraged to check out all of the off-season action at MIS by checking out

I was thinking about a question the other day and it went like this. What do you need first? The car, the driver, the crew chief, the owner, the crew, the sponsor (No order of importance).....? I know that there has to be the idea of racing in several of those mentioned first. But sooner or later they ALL have to come together. Timing is important also. I know this time of year there are guys looking for sponsors, others looking for owners, others cars, others drivers...... The time will go quick and they need to be together and getting the car ready and soon racing again (seems a long ways away right now.)
In the same way I was thinking about God and how mercy, grace, faith, calling out on God, .... all fit together. One of the guys in my Wednesday morning men's study group said that grace has the highest priority in that list. I asked why he thought that way. We talked a while and looked at two great passages on salvation (Eph. 2:5-10 and Titus 3:5-8) and mercy came before grace in but passages, but God's love for us and Jesus dying for us comes before God giving us grace. In a couple other places we see the 'sinner" calling out for mercy first, by faith. See in in all of those ideas God's gives first and we just reach out for the free gifts and obey.
So as you get your racing plans together for next summer I pray that your plan for eternal life is right and that you are right with God and obeying His Word.
