Friday Night Review
Congratulations to Robbie Pyle for winning the Mayor of Madison 100 for the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division. This makes back to back wins for Pyle at MIS who says that we are his favorite track.
Great run by Andrew Morrissey who led 98 of the laps before surrendering the lead on lap 98. Talk about one exhausted driver after the race! Good runs also by Nathan Haseleu, Jason Tyler, Jeremy Miller, and Bobby Wilberg. Brett Moffitt added another solid showing for this fifteen year old hot shoe.
The driver I want to give credit to is defending MIS Legends champion Blake Brown who finished twelfth in his first action on Wisconsins Fastest Half-Mile.
Steve Carlson set a new track record for the ASALMS carsthe speed definitely caught me off guard as five went below eighteen seconds.
It was fun to see the Grand National Vintage Series here at MIS. What a great group of guys who really take pride in their cars. Thirteen classics were on hand with twelve taking the green flag in an event won by Chris Loberg.

So we added to the list of late race passes and great races this season. The highlight tape is going to be long this year as we have had a lot of spectacular finished. I felt bad for Andrew but think about who beat him, two guys with many, many wins! Talk about big names, we had a bunch here on Friday.
As I thought about that Saturday I thought of how important one name is above any other. It is the name Jesus. Listen to Acts 4:12Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Additionally Exodus 20 states in Ex 20:7: You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. (both from the NIV) God name is a serious thing we are accountable to the Creator of the universe and how we use His name. When we say God or Jesus, or Christ or Holy or even when e are thinking about this names we are to be thinking only of the Lord and His greatness and what He is due. Even as we are in church and singing we need to be thinking about the words and the names as we worship.
So I hope you stop and think about this and these great names before speaking them because only God, the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit deserve our worship and in Jesus alone is salvation found.
See you at the track and have a great day in the SONshine,
todd
