Wet Conditions Win Out Again at MIS
Oregon, WI (Friday, May 15, 2009)- For the second straight week the rain stole the show at MIS as officials were forced to cancel the Friday night racing program. “We got some rain here today plus the forecast is for cooler temperatures and more rain later in the day. We want to make these decisions early as a courtesy to the teams and fans,” said MIS General Manager Dave Grueneberg.
Next week the green flag will find its way back to MIS as part of a full night of racing with all five weekly divisions including the Rockweiler Insulation Late Models, Brown Heating and Air Conditioning Area Sportsman, Weaver Auto Parts Hobby Stocks, Roto Rooter Bandits, and Pellitteri Waste Systems Legends. The USST Super Trucks will also be joining the racing program.
Pit gates on Friday, May 22nd open at 3:30 with practice at 4:45, qualifying at 6:20 and racing at 7:30. Teams and fans may use their rainchecks from May 8th for either the May 22nd or May 29th programs.
“Our teams want to race. The fans want to see great racing. We want to put on a great show for the fans. It’s frustrating, but it’s also spring in Wisconsin,” concluded Grueneberg.
