Rain Steals the Flags at MIS

Friday, August 7, 2009 (Oregon, WI)-  Mother Nature has won again at Madison International Speedway as persistent precipitation forced speedway officials to cancel Friday’s racing events.  The Laborer’s Union Local 464 Night including the Twin 30’s for the Rockweiler Insulation Late Models has been rescheduled for Friday, August 21st.

Despite the rain, the ASA Educational Series awards program was held for the 2009 season.  Over 100 people gathered in the MIS Tech Building as more than $250,000 in scholarships to Ohio Technical College were awarded to participating students in the Educational Series program.  More information regarding the awards program will be released shortly.

Racing continues at Madison International Speedway on Friday, August 14th with Swiss Colony Night featuring Super Late Models, Big 8 Late Models, Area Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, Bandits, and Legends.
