Donnie Woller nabs first Yellow Book USA Super Truck win at Wisconsin International

KAUKAUNA, WI -- Donnie Woller drove the Zastrow Truck Ford to his first ever Yellow Book USA Super Truck Series win Sunday afternoon at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. The Merrill, WI racer established a new one-lap track record for super trucks in qualifying with a lap of 20.894 to top the 20-truck field.

The main event got underway with Iowan Wade Prasil setting the pace in the Coca Cola Ford. Prasil, series point leader Bill Prietzel and Vincent Wilkinson pulled away from the rest of the field in a nose-to-tail battle. Prietzel dipped inside Prasil to take the lead on lap eight in turn four. The first caution flah flew on lap 11 when Michael Schmitz came to a halt in turn four. Woller made his run to the front by passing Prasil for third place on lap 18. Prasil spun in turn two on lap 20 to another yellow flag. Woller got around Wilkinson for second place on lap 22. Prietzel and Woller ran door-to-door for the top spot until lap 27 when Woller inched ahead. Woller won by two truck lengths with Prietzel second, Wilkinson third, two-time series champion Terry Marzofka fourth, Brad Blenker fifth and John Vig, Jr sixth.

The next super truck series race is Saturday night, May 24 at Pepsi Raceway Park in Tomahawk, WI.
