Red, White & Blue State Championship continues Saturday night at Wis. International

KAUKAUNA, WI -- The 32nd annual Red, White & Blue State Championship Series for late model stock cars continues Saturday night, July 12 at the Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna at 7 p.m. Qualifying for the Yellow Book USA MARS late models, Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Cars and FRRC limited late models begins at 5:15 p.m. All three divisions will compete on the D-shaped half-mile paved track. Concluding the night's varied racing card will be Sizzlin' 4s and figure 8 cars on an inner quarter-mile paved course.

During the opening race of the series in June 40 late models, 30 Mid-Americans and 14 limited lates competed on the half-mile along with 16 Sizzlin' 4s and 13 figure 8 cars for a record total of 113 cars for a Red, White & Blue Series event at WIR. Twin 50-lap feature races with 22 starters will top the Yellow Book USA late model portion of the program. The Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Car Series and the FRRC limited lates will both run 30-lap features along with 15-lap last chance races. Jeff Van Oudenhoven of Kimberly and Terry Baldry of Omro split late model feature wins during the opening race of the Red, White & Blue Series. They are expected to receive competition from late model drivers from a four state area as the series continues Saturday.
