33rd annual Red, White & Blue State Championship begins Saturday night, June 12 at Wisconsin Int.

KAUKAUNA, WI -- The 33rd annual Red, White and Blue State Championship for late model stock cars is slated to begin Saturday night, June 12 at the Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. Competition in the Yellow Book USA Midwest AllStar Late Models will be highlighted by twin 50-lap feature races on the half-mile D-shaped paved track with qualifying at 5:05 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. The Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Cars will make their first 2004 appearance at the Kaukauna track with the Graphix Products 30. Other divisions include limited late models, four cylinders and figure 8 cars. Preliminary races will be included in the late model, limited late and Mid-American divisions.

Drivers are expected from Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota for the regional auto racing event . The annual Joe Shear Memorial plaque will be presented to the fastest qualifier in the Yellow Book USA Midwest AllStar Late Model class. The second and third segments of the Red, White and Blue State championship will be Saturday nights, July 10 and August 21. The Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Car Series will be part of the July 10 race while the Vintage Modifieds and Midwest Stock Car Classics will be featured on August 21. Series sponsors include Pepsi and Y100 Radio. Free camping is available for all three races. Children age 10 and under are admitted free.
