KAUKAUNA, WI -- The 33rd annual Red, White and Blue State Championship
for stock cars will be held at the Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna
on Saturday nights, June 12, July 10 and August 21. Racing for each of the events
will begin at 7 p.m. on the half-mile paved, D-shaped track. The late model
division will again by sanctioned by the Yellow Book USA Midwest All-Star Series
with drivers from thoughout the Midwest expected to compete in the twin 50-lap
features.
The Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Car Series returns for
the 12th straight season with a 30-lap main event topping that part of the program
on June 12 and July 10. The Midwest Stock Car Classics and a second vintage
division of cars will be added on August 21 as the Mid-American cars will be
racing at Road America in Elkhart Lake. Fox River Racing Club limited late models,
four cylinder cars and figure 8 cars will also be included in each of the three
events.
The WIR special event season begins with the Budweiser Spring
Classic 100 for the Yellow Book USA Midwest AllStars along with the Yellow Book
USA Mid-Am Super Trucks, limited late models, figure 8s and four cylinders.
Racing begins at 1 p.m. The Yellow Book USA late models, super trucks, stock
cars and the Fox River Racing Club limited late models race on the half-mile
track while the four clinders and figure 8 cars race on an inner quarter-mile
course.
Fox River Racing Club action runs Sunday afternoons May 2 and 9 before switching to Thursday nights on May 13. NASCAR Touring Series races will be held Monday, May 31 (150 laps) and Tuesday, August 3 (300 laps).
