SAUK CENTRE, MN -- The race for the 2004 title in the Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Car Series continues this weekend at the I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre, MN. Qualifying begins at 3 p.m. Saturday with racing at 6 p.m. that evening. Feature and last chance races in various divisions begin at 2 p.m. Sunday. Peter Hernandez of Mokena, IL is the series leader with 1,710 points. Bobby Gutknecht of Oak Creek, WI is second with 1,602 and Jonathan Eilen of Hampton, MN is third with 1,589.

A total of 128 different drivers have competed in the series so far in 2004. I-94 Raceway is a 3/8-mile paved oval and the race will mark the second year the cars have competed in the Fall Nationals. The Yellow Book USA MARS Late Models and Mid-Am Super Trucks will also be in action during the multi-division racing weekend.

Dick Trickle, a former ARTGO late model champion and NASCAR regular, will be competing in the Yellow Book USA MARS late model division both days. For more information call 320-352-5263.
