BAILEYS HARBOR, WI-- A 15-race schedule of paved track events
has been announced for 2004 for the touring Yellow Book USA Super Truck Series.
The super trucks open the season Friday night, May 7 at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar
Rapids, IA and finish up the slate Saturday night, Oct. 9 at LaCrosse Fairgrounds
Speedway in West Salem, WI. Two of the highlights of the upcoming season include
a Sunday, Aug. 22 event on the four-mile road racing course at Road America
in Elkhart Lake, WI and a Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28 at the Milwaukee Mile
in West Allis, WI. Both races are 40-miles in length, the longest races of the
schedule.
"We're looking forward to a very competitive season. Nine
of our top ten drivers from last year are returning and at this point we have
eight new teams registered for the 2004 campaign," noted series president
Gary Vercauteren. "This would be an excellent series for any up-and-coming
driver who is looking for experience on various size paved tracks in the Wisconsin,
Minnesota and Iowa area," he added. "There are a few top quality used
super trucks for sale for race teams looking to make a change for 2004. We keep
an accurate list of these units and always welcome new competitors," Vercauteren
