(May 16, 2005 Kansas City, MO)  Gary & Kay Vercauterens' Mid-American Stock Car Series, Inc. will take over I-70 Speedway's high banks on Saturday, May 28th.  The Midwest All-Star Super Late Models will open their season and be led by 2004 point Champion Jeff Van Oudenhoven, along with Minnesota hotshoes Blake Bjorklund & Trent Snyder.  Many local stars in the Late Model ranks are expected to fend off their efforts to take the top prize including Jeff Klem, Jenny White & Rod Cordon.   This could be one of the best shows of the 2005 season!

Along with the MARS Late Models will be the Mid-American Truck Series featuring such drivers as New Prague, MN's Jamie Farrell, Donnie Woller from
Merrill, WI and John Froelich from Chippewa Falls, WI. Look for local Super Truck stars Steve Barber, J. Brent Donelan and Brandon Jordan among others to hit the asphalt with these touring stars.

The ball gets rollin' when the pit gates will at 9:00am.  Practice will run from 1-3pm.  Qualifying begins at 6:00 and the green flag is set to wave at 7:30.

The MARS Late Models and the Mid-American Truck Series will run 10-lap heat races with a 20-lap last chance race for the MARS cars.  The Trucks will run a 50-lap feature and the Super Late Models will race for 100 laps with $2000 to win.  Eighteen of the fastest qualifiers will be locked in the starting grid with the top 4 from last chance race.
