Steve Carlson among early entries for MARS Series opener at I-70 Speedway
ODESSA, MO-- Steve Carlson, a many-time ARTGO and NASCAR Elite Touring champion, is among the early entries for the 2005 Midwest AllStar Racing Series (MARS) late model stock car season opener Saturday night, May 28 at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, MO. A 100-lap MARS late model feature highlights the program which will also be marked by the 2005 opener for the Mid-Am Super Truck Series. A 50-lap super truck feature is planned. Heat races will be run in both divisions as well as last chance events. Qualifying is slated for 6 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.

Steve Barber of Independence, MO, who has won every I-70 super truck feature run thus far in 2005 will face a stiff test. Drivers from at least ten states are expected for the 50-lap super truck event including Mark Storlie, Elko, MN; Austin Siebert, Lake Lotawana, MO; Larry Fitzsimmons, Apple Valley, MN; J. Brent Donelan, Olathe, KS; Eddie Tidwell, Ada, OK; Anthony Brewer, Shakopee, MN; Bill Prietzel, Franklin, WI; Ricky Archer, Kearney, MO; John Froelich, Chippewa Falls, WI; Ron White, Springhill, KS; Ron Poladna, Bolivar, MO; and Garrett Goth, Cottage Grove, WI.
