Jamie Iverson takes Late Model feature!!!

August 13th, 2004, Norway, MI. - The fourth annual fan appreciation
night was held this past Friday night at Norway Speedway. There was no qualifying
so the drivers could bring there cars out on the track for an autograph and
picture session. The rock band Vader's Mistress also played before and after
the event which produced another packed grandstand. Future stars Brett Widdis
and Adam Menor raced side by side for 11 laps in the Late Model feature until
Menor got by him on lap 14. Menor then, for the second time this season, looked
to be on his way to his first feature win until veterans Jamie Iverson and Mike
Reichenberger came charging through the 19 car field. Iverson who has been perfect
this season overtook Menor on lap 23 and went on to win his 6th feature of the
season. Reichenberger was second and Adam Menor, Dick Coleman, and Bob Menor
rounded out the top 5. Brett Whaley of Florence Wisconsin won the semi-feature
followed by Joe Manninen, and Mark Miller.
Auto Value Street Stock rookie phenomenon Brett Swanson finished
second in last weeks feature, and then came back to win his first feature event
of his career. Swanson held off veteran Mike Bubloni Jr. for the win. Tom Neeley
was third followed by Terry Reed and John Komp. Tim Krans won the B-feature
with Chris Gardipee coming in second. Matt Frazer, Jim Beauchamp, and Darren
Peterson rounded out the top five.
The slammer feature was won by Brian Smith. The heat was won
by Travis Reidell. The Fab 4 A-feature and dash were won by points' leader Gary
Dubord Jr, the B by Josh Bastian, and the C by Rob Skog.
Next week is Truckland Inc. of Kingsford night at the speedway.
