The 2005 Season opener was greeted with a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The Street Stocks were first out to qualify as Ron Jenshak qualified the fastest. Jamie Iverson would show the fans that he has not missed a beat over the winter as he set quick time for the Late Models. Bob Menor would hold off Pete Polini and Jamie Iverson to take the Late Model fast dash, while Tom Neeley would beat Ryan Windell across the line for the Street Stock fastest six. Dan Lindsley held off Brian Suhs to take the Late Model B feature and advance into the Main Event. Matt Frazer took the lead early in the Street Stock B Feature and moved on to the Street Stock A as well.

Scott Stanchina held off an early charge from Bruce White to lead the first half of the Late Model 35 lap feature. Kevin Beyer would also mount a charge on Stanchina, but Scott held the point with less than half way to go. With just over a dozen laps remaining, Bob Menor mounted a charge and passed Stanchina on the outside. Menor lead the remaining laps and put his name in the record books as the first Late Model winner of the season. Kris Kelly finished second, Kevin Beyer third, Jamie Iverson fourth, and Scott Stanchina rounded out the top 5.

Mike Bubloni would jump out to an early lead in the Street Stock Main Event and would lead the first half of the race until he was struck with a mechanical failure, handing the lead over to Tim Shultz Jr. Shultz held on to the lead as long as he could until Terry Reed took over with a handful of laps remaining. Terry Read would hold off Jeff Boettcher, Ron Jenshak, Tim Shultz Jr and Matt Parkansky rounding out the top 5.

Next it was SLAMMER TIME! ! The slammers normally line up by points, but opening night means it is the luck of the draw. Brian Smith jumped out to an early lead, but there was no stopping defending champion Travis Reidel. Reidel took the lead and never looked back as Jim Stachowicz gave him a late charge. Neil Varda was third, Tim Pollard 4th, and Chris Spaude 5th.

Due to the 4 Cylinder's not qualifying as well, they were left with the luck of the draw and Brett Moore drew the top spot out of all three features! All three features were awarded the same amount of points until week three, when they will be separated into an A, B, C race. Tom Mott held off 2004 Champion Gary Dubord Jr in the early stages of the race, but the 2004 Champion would find himself in the top spot when the checkered flag flew, Bill Delfoss claimed 2nd, Tom Mott 3rd, #48 4th, and Jamie Hedlund 5th.

The Second 4 Cylinder Feature had Cody Skog leading flag to flag scoring his first career victory, holding off Mark Moraska, Tim Wilcox, Gerald Dugree Sr, and Chris Lucas.

The Third 4 Cylinder race was also lead flag to flag by the #17n, Mike Stanchina in the #16 fought his way from the back to claim second, with #831 third, #55 4th, and # 83 claiming the 5th spot.

Racing Returns to Friday Night this week, gates open at 5 pm, time trials at 6:15, and racing starts at 7:30 See you all at the Track!!
