Norway Speedway Goes to a New Hoosier Tire for their 2010 Season

12/10/2009 Norway Speedway, an ASA Member Track, has announced that they will be going to a new Hoosier Tire for their 2010 season.

“We are happy to announce the use of Hoosier F-40 and F-50 tires for the upcoming year in its late model division,” Scott Dabb V.P. of Norway Speedways DCRA said. He was happy to be invited down to the ASAMT tire test where these tires where shown to other tracks in the upper Midwest. Scott said that he was very impressed with the tire wear and the over all performance of the new Hoosier tire. His comment was, "looks like they did there homework.”

Irish Saunders of Hoosier Racing Tires says he is sure that the tire will be a great choice for the Norway, MI tight bullring paved oval. It will also save the racers money in the long run. Hoosier tire is working with a new theory that a more repeatable tire will save everyone money and get more cars to the race track. “Our goal is not only to sell tires but also to have the pits full of race cars and a dependable, long lasting tire,” Saunders said. “This early tire choice will also help us at Hoosier Tire get prepared for the 2010 race season.”

Mike Lemke Norway Speedway tech director says he is also sure that the tire will be a great one and also allow more car to compete in the ASAMT race late next summer. He also stated that the more people on the same type of tire will help everyone involved not only drivers but tracks alike. The other big thing Norway has done is to adopt the ASAMT rules as the major guidelines for there rules package. “The more people on the same page the better we will all be,” Lemke said.
