August 2, 2008 Plymouth Dirt Track
Plymouth Dirt Track featured the Tech Squad Midwest Sprintcar Association this past Saturday night with a 30 lap feature for the sprint division and on track driver introductions.
Lance Fassbender, Burnett, lead the feature flag to flag, but not without challenges from Wayne Modjeski, Oak Creek, and Earl Possi, Escanaba, MI. But Fassbender, who currently leads the point standings over Possi and Modjeski, was able to hold them off using the higher groove to his advantage. Modjeski, finished second. Jim Melis, Glenbuelah, in his second night back this season, finished third. Jason Johnson, Allenton, was fourth. Michael Emme, Manitowoc, was fifth. Possi faded back to finish seventh.

Travis Luedke, Plymouth, was the winner of the second B-main over Troy Wondra, Lomira, and Jeremy Schultz, Beaver Dam.
Heat winners for the Sprint division were: Earl Possi, Shane Wenninger, Kewaskum, Michael Emme, and Tim Melis, Waldo.
In the Late Model division, Bill Rezutek, Big Bend, started outside pole for the third week in a row, and looked like he had the car to beat until some late lap cautions allowed Russ Scheffler, Waukesha, to catch up to the leader. Scheffler used the high line while Rezutek stayed low, racing door to door for the few remaining laps Scheffler got the advantage and was able to pick up his second win in the last three features. Rezutek finished second. Scott Specht, Sheboygan Falls, was third. Ron Stroika, Mukwanago, was fourth, and Craig Schueffner, Sheboygan Falls, was fifth.
