Plymouth, Wisconsin: Plymouth Dirt Track Racing honored area firefighters and paramedics prior to the start of the nights program. Then the only heat of the night began on the race track with plenty of excitement.
Feature race wins went to Earl Possi in the Sprint division, Brad Dahmer in the Grand Nationals, Scott Specht in the Late Models and Jason Juech in the Outlaw Compacts.
Possi from Escanaba, Michigan lead the entire race from his front row starting spot and just missed beating the track record by several seconds. The pair were flying and on lap ten they had caught the back of the field and were ready to start lapping cars. It would be Possi’s fourth feature win of the season.
Terry Marten who started next to Possi, stayed with him the entire 25-laps, but Possi, would never give him a chance to pass. Series points leader Lance Fassbender from Burnett started ninth and wasted no time moving towards the front to get a third place finish but could never get close to the two front cars.
Scott Conger from Eagle was fourth at the finish line for his best finish of the season just ahead of Ken Jay Fiedler from Sheboygan Falls. Wayne Modjeski (Oak Creek) winner the previous week started eleventh and finished seventh just behind former track champion Dave Enders from Kiel.
The first B-main was won by 2007 track champion T.J. Luedke from Plymouth. Luedke opened a big lead early to assure himself a transfer spot leaving the rest of the field racing hard for the final two transfer spots.
Paul Pokorski from West Bend with Adam Miller (Plymouth) and Troy Wondra (Lomira) battled hard and in the end it would be Pokorski and Miller transferring.
The second B-main was won by Josh Walter (Plymouth) who ended a lot frustrating nights by transferring to the Main only lose oil pressure at the start of the Feature and having to retire to the pits. Tony Wondra (Campbellsort) was second and past track champion Danny Schlafer (Sussex) third.
Heat race winners were Modjeski; Marten, Doug Wondra (Oakfield), Enders, and Possi. Only one yellow flag waved during the five heat races.
Dahmer from Sheboygan Falls after starting fifth in the Grand National feature, was in second on the second lap right behind leader Gary Glander (Sheboygan Falls). Glander would hold tight to the tracks inside berm and Dahmer was forced to go to the outside.
Melissa Singer from Waldo, stayed near the front along with Jestin Danes (New Holstein) and Matt Yancey (Sheboygan Falls).
Dahmer’s efforts finally paid off on lap ten when he got a good run off turn four and edged ahead of Glander for a lead he would keep.
Glander would hold on for second with Singer finishing in third ahead of Danes and Yancey. Previous week’s winner Luke Scholten from Oostburg finished sixth after starting in the eleventh spot.
Loren Lubach (Sheboygan) was the races hard charger coming from sixteenth to seventh passing most of the cars on the outside.
Heat races were won by Yancey who tied a ten-lap track record which he already held, Scholten won the second heat missing Yancey’s record time by just one second, Dahmer won the third heat and Singer the fourth. Just one yellow flag in the four races combined.
Late Models took their turn and it would end in dramatic fashion. Scott Specht (Sheboygan Falls) passed race leader Rick Scheffler on the outside coming off turn four on the final lap after Scheffler who had lead the entire race got slowed down behind a car they were about to lap.
For Specht the 2005 track champion it was his first feature win of the season. In the early going Specht who started second, dropped back to fourth behind Kyle Odekirk (Waldo) and Turk Letizia (Milwaukee).
On lap twelve Specht was able to use the outside line to get past both Odekirk and Letizia setting his sights on Scheffler again. After it looked like Scheffler would prevail the patience of Specht paid off in a big way in the final turn on the final lap esxciting the large crowd.
Scheffler would finish just ahead of Odekirk, Letizia, and former track champion Dan Sorce (Franklin).

The Outlaw Compacts ran extended an feature with Juech from West Bend leading the entire event. Behind him the racing was hard but yellow flags continued to the slow the action throughout.
Chad Riederer (Plymouth), two-time past track champion Jay Riemer (Sheboygan Falls), Tyler Kulow (Plymouth) and Steven Weber (Plymouth) raced in a tight pack right behind Juech most of the race.
At times the pack would be three wide looking to advance but Juech was always able to hold them off.
