In action at the Raceway at Powercom Park in Beaver Dam, WI on Saturday night, Dennis Haldemann of Randolph had a strong run going in the 20-lap Shaver Builders and Home Improvement Modified A-Main as he picked his way up through the traffic from his fourth row starting position. However, Jay Schraufnagel of Beaver Dam was a little stronger and moved up a little quicker from the fifth row as he powered his way into the lead on lap eight. Haldemann soon moved into second but it appeared that Schraufnagel was well on his way to a win. That would all change on lap sixteen when Schraufnagel lost the driveshaft on his ride and came to a halt in turn two. That moved Haldemann into the top spot and the efforts of a good run were rewarded with a win. It was the first trip to the Winners Circle for Haldemann who became the fifth different driver to win an A-Main in the division this season. Joe McGrath of Neosho had his best finish of the season crossing the line in second. Rob Schmid of Burnett also had his best run of the season with a third place finish. Eddie Lemay of Milwaukee came from deep in the pack to finish in fourth. Brian Crapser of Brookfield moved up to take the fifth spot. Schraufnagel remains on top of the point standings.

Roger Lee of Wind Lake battled it out with Dave Gorny of West Allis in the Northwoods Paper Converting Grand Nationals 20-lap A-Main. Lee took over the lead on lap sixteen and went onto lead Gorny across the line at the drop of the checkered flag. It was the fourth win of the season for Lee. Steve Seitz of Beaver Dam drove to third ahead of Tommy Moore of Muskego. Point leader Don Sorce Jr. of West Allis followed in fifth.

Don Vander Galien of Wautoma moved up from the fifth row to take the win in the 20-lap Dodge Central Credit Union Stocks A-Main. It was the second win of the season for the current point leader in the division. Mike Nehmer of Larsen drove to second. Derrick Vander Galien of Oshkosh had his best finish of the season in taking third. Brent Lepple of Beaver Dam followed in fourth ahead of Dan Troyan of Menomonie Falls.

In the Gibbsville Cheese Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series A-Main, Joel Wyttenbach of Sauk City took over the lead on lap eleven when race leader Adam Reed of Slinger had trouble with turn three. Plagued by a couple of lengthy cautions due to multi-car incidents, the caution flag triggered by Reed also meant the checkered flag was waved since the event had gone over the time limit. The win by Wyttenbach was his third of the season at The Raceway at Powercom Park and the fourth of the season in the Series. Early race leader Eric Barth of Sauk City drove to second. Rick Harris of Davenport, IA followed in third ahead of Warren Ropp of Kalona, IA and Greg Hartlaub of Sheboygan Falls. Aaron Rake of Beaver Dam may have had the most impressive run as he came from the twenty-fourth starting spot to finish in sixth.

Josh Schmitt of Juneau raced to his second win of the season in the Wally’s Auto Dirt Devils 20-lap A-Main. Roger Frank of Beaver Dam moved up well from the sixth row to finish in second. Point leader Jon Schultz of Belleville drove to third. Ron Koenig of Fox Lake followed in fourth. Billy Lemay Jr. of Lannon took fifth.

Steve Mueller of Mukwonago and Mike Meeker of Mazomanie were victorious in the modified B-Mains. Lane Swearinger of Eldridge, IA beat Loren Zuhlke Jr. of Beaver Dam at the line to pick up the win in the legends B-Main. Nick Firari of Reeseville claimed the dirt devils B-Main.

Modified heat race wins went to Jay Schraufnagel, Rob Schmid, Joe McGrath, Russ Reinwald of Iron Ridge and Larry Walter Jr. of New Berlin. Grand National heat race victories were recorded by Dion Wahl and Tommy Moore. The stocks heat wins were registered by Chuck Hummelmeier of Friesland and Jasper Drengler of Shawano. Eric Barth, Adam Reed and Joel Wyttenbach raced to wins in the legends heats. Dirt Devil heat race action saw Jon Schultz, Kevin Schutz of Madison and Mike Mueller of Waupun claim wins.
