Wet weather forces Shawano Speedway to cancel racing program

 Shawano, WI (July 24, 2010) – After numerous days of rain during the week and more rain on Saturday morning, Shawano Speedway was forced to cancel its racing program due to wet conditions. It was the fifth time the Speedway was forced to cancel its racing program in 2010.

There are six weeks of regular weekly racing left at Shawano Speedway. In addition, Shawano Speedway is gearing up for the World of Outlaws Late Models Series show at the Speedway on Wednesday, Aug. 4. On the slate that night is a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model feature that will attract drivers from all over the country. In addition, IMCA Modifieds will be a part of the show with a $2,000 to win IMCA Modified feature.

The Speedway will resume its regular racing season, Saturday, July 31, with the racing action getting underway at 6 p.m.
