Miller Lite 120 Kick’s Off Slinger Opener
May 2 Test & Tune Noon – 4:00 pm
(Slinger, WI) April 21, 2009 – The 62nd Season for Slinger Speedway kick’s off Sunday afternoon May 3rd with the Miller Lite 120 Spring Opener. Super Late Models will headline the event joined by Late Models, Midwest Sportsman, Thunderstock, Slinger Bee’s, Figure 8’s, and Westbury Bank Speedway Guest Cars. Qualifying will start at Noon and racing at 2:00 pm.
The Miller Lite 120 Spring Opener will run the same format as last year with the Feature Event for the Super Late Models running two 60-lap segments. At the halfway point all cars will pit for adjustments and will return to the track for the second segment lined up just how they finished lap 60. Many of the teams like the format allowing them to make the needed adjustments to an opening day set up that may not be quite right. Conrad Morgan stated, “The mid way break gives us a great opportunity to make adjustments on our car that could dial us in for the second 60 and weeks to come.”
Saturday May 2nd fans will have the opportunity to view all the divisions of competition for the 2009-racing season during the annual practice day. General admission on practice day is free. You can save a buck on Sunday’s tickets buying them in advance at Pioneer Plaza in Richfield, or B& S Liquor in Hartford.
Tickets are sale for the 30th Annual Miller Lite Slinger Nationals. Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch highlight the event that takes place Tuesday evening July 21.
