Hey Corey, just thought I'd give you an update for your site on some new sponsors and such on our WIR superstock. My son David will compete in the 93 car almost the whole season and run for ROY in 2009. He will miss the first Thursday in June due to the fact he's graduating from Appleton West high school that night. He plans on attending college in the fall pursuing a degree in criminal justice. It's been a busy off season for us as David qualified for sectionals in wrestling and then suffered a major concussion but he should be ok by race time. We would like to announce Northstar Dental as a new sponsor in 2009. We are also welcoming back our associate sponsors, The 10th frame bar and grill, Lake Park pub, Monday & Associates, and Fox Cities Janitorial inc. We have also updated the car this year as we've added a 1999 Monte Carlo body, and completely revamped our motor program. Gone is the vortec engine from last year and under the hood this year will be something with "a little more punch" David's father, Tim said. The new powerplant will be built by Jerry Smit's of Green Bay, who used to build Tim's feature winning engines when Tim used to race sportsman cars on the WIR 1/4 mile. We're excited about 2009, Tim said. David's got a year under his belt and we continued to get faster throughout the season last year, actually breaking into the 15's during qualifying on the last night.
